Friday

On Friday we watched the coolest movie: "The Unknown Universe" highlighting microphotography (an intrest of mine) and really showing you what modern microscopy can do! Enjoy!

Day 3 in biology

Today and yesterday in biology we looked at protists in pond water under the microscope. There was also a small lab sheet that went along with it (not online, in the make-up work box). All other available time was spent on reviewing for the test on Tue./Wed. of next week!

Chapters 19-20, review all notes, guided readings, labs- there is also a review that I will make available online on Monday. Sorry for the delay!

Day 2 in Biology

Day 2 in biology I stamped the Chapter 20 guided reading on Protists, we went over our vocab quizzes, chapters 19-20 guided readings. At the end of class we worked on the paramecium coloring- not yet online but pick one up from the make-up work box.

Today in Biology we watched "Influenza:1981" which is about a historical flu epidemic in the USA. Check it out from Ms. H.

Stamped the HIV coloring work that was given out on Friday.

Friday

Friday in Bio we took the Ch. 19-20 vocab quiz. See me to schedule a make-up time before/after school. We also turned in our vocab to the box and I passed out the HIV coloring, due Monday.

Day 3

Day 3 in Biology we finished our disease project presentations and took notes on Protists. Some classes also will give a try at whiteboard review for the vocab quiz on Friday!

Day 2

In biology day two, we presented our microbe project. Some classes will participate in whiteboard review for the vocab quiz on Friday, and some (who were still very shaky) participated in working on their vocab.

5th period only- Work time in the LRC, present on Thursday!

Monday!

- We turned in our Chapter 19 guided reading to the box
- We spent the whole time in the LRC doing work on our disease project, due day 2

When you present, it's only going to be 3-4 minutes. Focus the majority of your work on a quality paper. A few photos and a diagram on a PowerPoint or poster work just fine for your visual.

5th period ONLY:
We are finishing up our virus notes on Monday, learning about Protists and trying a vocab whiteboard challenge! Your LRC work day is Tuesday and your presentations are Wednesday.
