Day 3 Bio

Day three biology we:
  • Turned the flower and seed dissection lab into the box
  • Watched part of "The Secret Life of Plants- putting down roots"
  • Finished the plants intro notes (finally!)
  • Took notes on roots and stems (not online, see make-up work box for the note sheet and a friend for the fill-ins)

On a side note, I am really excited about the meeting for the spring break trip to Ireland next year! If you are interested at all, please come. It's at 7:30 in the career center on THURSDAY! See ya there! :)

Day 2 Bio

Day Two, we:
  • stamped the flower coloring
  • stamped the 22-4 and 22-5 guided reading
  • Passed out Chapter 23 guided reading, due FRIDAY
  • Did the seed and flower dissection lab- needs to be made up after school one day this week as lab materials are perishable. See Ms. H for details :)
  • Lab due in the box day 3!

Monday

In biology on Monday we:

  • Turned the moss and soil absorbancy lab into the box
  • Reminder: 22-4 and 22-5 is due day 2!
  • Watched "The secret life of plants-branching out" (You DO NEED to make this up)
  • Passed out flower coloring- due day 2
  • Announced extra credit opportunities in 5th and 6th period. I'll tell 1st and 2nd on day 2!

Write a one-page response including examples from the lecture that will demonstrate to me how this information has enriched your views on Biology and life as we've learned it.

Friday In Bio

Friday we did the moss and soil absorbtion lab. All data was collected in the class period and the conclusion is homework due Monday.
With all of the practice we had with conclusions right before the WASL, you should be an expert by now!

Day 3

Day 3 in Biology we:
  • Continued onto the back page of the notes (intro to plants notes concept map-see me)
  • Stamped Ch. 22-1 to 22-2 guided reading
  • Went over the answers to the above
  • Finished up the PCAs (aquarium systems or whats your angle) and turned them in to the box
  • Guided reading 22-3 is due Friday.

Day 2

Day 2 in biology we:
Took intro to plants notes. These are on a large concept map and not online, so come see me to get the map and you can get the notes from a friend.

I passed back the Tri-Lakes conclusions from Monday, graded.

I passed out chapter 22 guided reading- 22-1 and 22-2 are due day 3

We got some reminders about all of the things we need to put on our WASL/PCA (see "Scoring rubric" for more details. This was a review but also good to check.

PCAs are due at the end of the period day 3.

Hello and welcome back from spring break!

We are right back into the swing of things-wasl schedule this TUE, WED, THURS, FRI.
On Monday we turned in a group copy of the FINAL FINAL (the one to be graded by Ms. H) conclusion for the Tri-Lakes Problem.

After that, we worked on one of the two PCAs for the science WASL: Aquarium Systems OR What's your Angle. Please find these documents off to the side and turn into the box when finished.

State Science Fair Results!

Day 2

On Day two biology we took the micro test- chapters 19 and 20.

Review is extra credit on the stamp sheet. Show finished review in order to use a note-card on the test.

Make up the test by the end of THIS WEEK in order to ensure that your grade for term is accurate. Before or after school only.

Monday

On Monday in bio we reviewed for the test day 2.
